| A late 18th Century English Cittern (Guittar) by John Preston 1735-70. The Watch key tuners were supposedly invented by Preston as seen engraved on the tuners. On the back of the neck is stamped "(initials logo) Preston Maker, London". Restoration would require one piece of finger board Tortoise, two frets, nut, 10 pcs. MOP and bridge. Strings were attached to pins on bottom, now absent. Neck is solidly attached to body.. | ||
