One of the nuttiest musical inventions to come out of the 19th century, the Alexander Violin, Patented Dec.20th 1887, takes most of the hard work out of Violin playing. One can either stand it on end and spin it 'till the correct note is under the bow. Or, by holding a smaller Handle(Missing from back) one can place it under the chin and again swivel until the correct note sounds. I have replicated just enough bridges to get the idea across.

A nyckelharpa (literally "key harp", plural nyckelharpor or sometimes keyed fiddle) It is a traditional Swedish musical instrument, a stringed instrument or chordophone. Its keys are attached to tangents which, when a key is depressed, serve as frets to change the pitch of the string. Photo of original player included.
